Christmas has officially arrived in the retail world. From classic holiday designs to huge sculptures, the big retail stores hope their beautifully designed Christmas windows will attract millions of onlookers this year.

Revealing a tale of a young boys journey through an enchanted forest, Macy's Herald Square, New York brings their window displays to life this Christmas. Along the boys journey and through the windows visitors will meet the same characters as he does, and become part of the story.

Harrods’ Christmas displays have become a traditional spot to visit in London during the holiday season. This year Stella McCartney and Matthew Williamson have taken over the store alongside renowned international houses such as Bottega Veneta to create a winter wonderland worthy of an award.

Instead of reindeer’s pulling the sleigh of Santa Claus this Christmas, Louis Vuitton have geese to bring the presents. Based on the concept of “The Goose Game”- on old family board game, visitors journeying through the store will have the chance to take part in interactive games and share their scores on Social Media.

A year in the planning and over 600 hours later, Harvey Nichols’ enchanted forest Christmas windows have come to life. Mannequins have been transformed into majestic woodland creatures clothed in the season’s most desirable collections from the fashion houses of Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, and Erdem.

Lord & Taylor is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its Fifth Avenue building with an enchanting theme. The storefront windows take visitors into a winter wonderland. And the twinkling stars are extra magical; they mark the first time that the store has used video wall technology in its holiday display.

This year, Saks exposed a new Snowflake Spectacular! The dazzling display is just one element of the shop's holiday celebration. Window displays tell the story of the Saks Yeti, and also include an interactive window where visitors can display their own Yeti name online. Names are fed by a live stream to the shop front.

Tiffany's conjures an image of a yuppie wintertime fantasia. The miniature brownstone scenes are dressed with tiny chandeliers and garlands, and those well-known baby-blue boxes are laid out beneath the trees.
