What Does Secured by Design Mean? Secured by Design (SBD) windows are the highest security windows you can install to protect your home. Each double glazed unit is stringently tested to meet BS7950: 1997, the specification for Enhanced Security Performance of Casement and Tilt/Turn Windows for Domestic Appliances. This means that both the windows and the locks are well equipped to resist any opportunistic attack.
