The Project
Kingfisher Windows worked on this project at Whalley Range, Manchester for housing developer
Laurus Homes. The developer secured planning permission to build 13 four-bedroom house and 16 two-bedroom apartments.
We were picked as the contractor for the project, fitting
Profile 22’s Optima Flush Casement Windows. We made sure to offer a window that would meet the specifications required from this project.

Construction started in November 2018 and concluded in July 2019.
The Windows Used
For this project, we installed the Optima System Flush Casement Window from Profile 22. The site was on land formerly owned by the prestigious independent school St Bede’s College, situated near a local conservation area. It meant the development needed to be sympathetic to the character of the local architecture. Therefore, we fitted a window that replicated the 19
th-century design but offers the modern features and benefits of uPVC.
We provided windows fabricated in grey on white, delivering a striking but architecturally sensitive appearance to this housing development.
Built to Standards
Like all the Profile 22 windows we manufacture at Kingfisher, the Optima Flush Casement is produced to BS EN 12608 and manufactured to BS EN ISO 90001. It meets the requirements of the Environmental Management System BS EN ISO 14001 and Responsible Sourcing standard BES 6001. This means these homeowners can have the confidence that their home is built to standard, will protect them and give them many years of quality service.
Energy Efficient
This development will do its bit for the environment with these new flush casement windows. The windows provide an A+ energy rating and will keep heat trapped within the property for a long time. Because of this, the homeowner won’t rely on central heating as often, reducing energy bills and the property’s carbon footprints.
