The Project
Kingfisher Windows were contracted to work on the
Pelier Street Housing Development in Southwark, London. We manufactured the windows for this commercial double glazing project. The dwelling consisted of four one-bedroom flats, nine two-bedroom flats and four three-bedroom flats. Installing the windows were experienced installers
Sealtite Group Ltd.
The Products Used
For this commercial double glazing project, we used the market-leading Profile 22 Optima Range. These high-quality products have added character to the development and will increase the overall performance. Specifically from our range, we used our
Optima Flush Tilt & Turn Windows, as well as our
Casement Windows. These commercial double glazing products were manufactured in RAL 7016 anthracite grey on the exterior and white on the interior to offer the streamlined aesthetics required for the project.
All of the windows within these commercial double glazing installation needed to comply with the Lifetime Homes Standard, ensuring they met the existing and changing needs of the household. For this to happen, Kingfisher Windows had to deliver windows with handles no higher than 1200mm above floor level. To do this, the handles have been offset from their central location on the Flush Tilt & Turn Windows to comply with this standard.
