Optima Windows and Doors Used in Leeds City Centre Community Hub
Over 200 Optima windows and doors have been fitted in a wonderful Leeds community hub.
The £11 million Westerton Walk, located in close proximity to Leeds city centre, is an extra care housing development. This project saw a combined total of 205 Optima products installed, consisting of residential doors, sliding doors, emergency doors, casement windows and curtain walling.
Westerton Walk features 63 one and two bedroom flats now fitted with Optima, the UK’s leading commercial door and window system. The community hub offers shared lounges, catering facilities and care support and has been built on unused city council owned land. The development is helping the council’s ambition to, by 2028, provide an incredible 1,000 new care housing units.

This project required a reliable, highly skilled contractor with experience working on newbuilds against tight timeframes. Us.
Not even the Covid 19 pandemic could prevent Kingfisher from delivering a problem free fabrication and installation process. Our very own Jonny Reynolds stated that “We worked closely with all stakeholders and took extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.”

This was an important factor in this project, as being a deterrent to crime was an important consideration.
